Former world champion turned pundit Tim Bradley has spoken about what would happen in a rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois.
This fight could happen if Usyk were to beat Tyson Fury once again when they rematch in December. It will be the second time the pair have faced off this year following their epic undisputed clash back in May which saw Usyk come out the points winner after 12.
Dubois is coming off a superb run of stoppage wins against Jarrell Miller last December, Fillip Hrgovic back in June, and most recently an emphatic victory over former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua at Wembley to defend his IBF strap.
Before those three wins, he came close to being the first man to beat Usyk when they faced in the summer of 2022. Dubois had his man down but the shot was ruled to be low. The Brit would then be stopped in the ninth round.
Speaking to ProBoxTV, Bradley assessed his chances against Usyk in a rematch.
“He already beat Usyk. He got robbed. That wasn’t a low blow, that was a body shot, he’s already beaten him and I wouldn’t mind seeing it again. I believe he got jobbed in there. The ref didn’t do a good job, he didn’t show the low blow line before the fight.
He hit him with a body shot and he hurt him. We all know Usyk does not like body shots. He does not like them. He was stopped in the amateurs with a body shot. I want to see him fight the winner of Fury-Usyk, he deserves that.”
He then spoke of other options for Dubois including Joshua.
“If he can’t do that right away why not rematch Joshua, it might go the same way as the first. I just want to see this man back in the ring.”
