Timothy Bradley Jr has shared his final thoughts on the upcoming clash between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.
Canelo is set to make the maiden defence of his undisputed super-middleweight championship against the unbeaten American on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
‘Bud’ Crawford will make his first appearance at 168lbs when he faces the Mexican great, having primarily campaigned at welterweight where he captured the undisputed championship back in 2023 when he defeated Errol Spence Jr.
Boxing fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the much anticipated clash between the pound-for-pound stars, with many considering it to be one of the biggest fights in the history of the sport.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, retired two-weight world champion Timothy Bradley didn’t hesitate to back Crawford to stop Canelo in impressive fashion, as he claims the 37-year-old will put on one of the ‘greatest performances of all time’.
“He’s going to smash Canelo, it’s not even going to be a fair fight. The minute Crawford gets used to the punching power, it’s going to be over for Canelo…
Netflix listen up, when this man gets the knockout, because he’s gonna knockout Canelo Alvarez, get the family on camera yo so we can document this, because it’s gonna be one of the greatest performances you’ve ever witnessed in the sport of boxing by Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford, knocking out somebody that’s been in the ring with some of the heaviest punchers in the game.”
A victory for Crawford would see the unbeaten 37-year-old write his name into sporting history as he will become the first male fighter to win an undisputed championship in three divisions, having already achieved this feat at super-lightweight and welterweight respectively.
