Hall of Fame inductee Tim Bradley believes Gervonta Davis will do all he can to avoid one fighter in particular.

‘Tank’ Davis currently reigns as the WBA lightweight champion and remains unbeaten as a professional since he made his debut back in 2013, defeating 28 of the 31 opponents he has faced via stoppage.

He made the most recent defence of his WBA crown back in March, fighting to a majority decision draw against fellow countryman Lamont Roach Jr at the Barclays Center in New York City.

Davis was expected to face Roach in a rematch before the end of the year, however these plans now appear to have been squandered after it was rumoured that ‘Tank’ hadn’t signed his part of the deal.

In an interview with Fight Hub TV, retired two-weight world champion Bradley didn’t hesitate to name the one fighter that he believes ‘Tank’ will do all he can to avoid facing at any stage before the end of his career.

“Tank is not gonna fight Shakur Stevenson at all, at all. I don’t care how much Turki [Alalshikh] offers, give him four Lamborghinis whatever, Tank ain’t taking that fight.”

Rumours of a ‘mega-fight’ between Davis and WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson have been circulating for many years now, although a showdown is yet to come to fruition for reasons that remain unknown.

Stevenson made the third defence of his WBC crown earlier this month, defeating Mexico’s William Zepeda via unanimous decision at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City on July 12.
