Floyd Mayweather and Terence Crawford are two of the best fighters of the modern era,
Mayweather retired undefeated at 50-0, becoming a five-weight world champion from super-featherweight to super-welterweight.
During his career he defeated a number of boxing legends, including Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez and Ricky Hatton.
Crawford is well on the way to replicating the achievements of Mayweather, currently having an undefeated record of 41-0. and world title wins in four different weight divisions from lightweight to super-welterweight.
The list of names he has defeated includes Errol Spence, Shawn Porter, Israil Madrimov, Amir Khan, Kell Brook, Ray Beltran and Yuriorkis Gamboa.
It has led to a debate over who would win between a prime Mayweather and Crawford, and when talking to ESPN about the match-up, former two-weight world champion Tim Bradley had an easy choice.
“If I could take a prime Terence Crawford, and a prime Floyd Mayweather, with all the tools that Crawford has, I would pick him to beat a prime Mayweather any day of the week.
“Crawford has got more to bring to the table. Mayweather has got the shoulder roll I get it and he controls distance, but Terence Crawford is also a master of distance. He has punching power to hurt Mayweather. We saw that in the Zab Judah fight, Shane [Mosley] did hurt him too.”
Mayweather was rocked by Mosley in their 2010 showdown, and also appeared hurt at times in his battle with Judah, but he ultimately recovered well and picked up comfortable points wins in each bout.
Bradley isn’t the only man to debate who would come out on top in a clash between Mayweather and ‘Bud’, with Ryan Garcia also weighing in but backing the older man.
