Tim Bradley Predicts Teofimo Lopez vs Ryan Garcia Fight: “He Can Turn Your Lights Out”

Teofimo Lopez vs Ryan Garcia would be a huge fight to be made in boxing.

Lopez is the current WBO super-lightweight champion, while Garcia beat Devin Haney last time out, though that has since been changed to a no contest after ‘King Ry’ failed a drugs test.

They are two of the biggest and most exciting fighters in the sport, and speculation has begun that a fight between the pair could take place at some point in 2025.

Former two-weight world champion Tim Bradley has now offered his thoughts on the match-up whilst talking to ProBox TV, and he thinks it would be a great fight for both men.

“Lopez’s name was brought up about a year ago to Ryan Garcia and they turned it down if I’m not mistaken, but I wouldn’t mind seeing that fight. Teofimo Lopez is due for a big prize fight. Ryan Garcia is very marketable, he has a huge fan base. Any time he gets into the ring everybody is going to be watching.

Teofimo Lopez he is very brash, very skilful, a 140 pounder. I don’t know what weight they’re going to fight at if they were to fight each other. Garcia already said that he’s not going to make 140lbs, and I believe Teo has the WBO 140lb strap so it would probably have to be at a catchweight or 147lbs.

We’ve even heard about Teofimo Lopez fighting Terence Crawford. He wants to go up to 154 and face Crawford. He’s ambitious and wants a big money fight.”

Bradley then revealed who he thinks would have the edge between Lopez and ‘King Ry.’

“I wouldn’t mind seeing him get in there with Garcia. It would be a good entertaining fight. It’s a fight that I believe Teo can win.

Ryan Garcia isn’t no slouch though. He’s got that left hook so he can turn anybody’s lights out. I wouldn’t mind seeing that fight and I think the fans would definitely clamour for a Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia match-up when he returns.”

Lopez has previously spoken about his willingness to fight Garcia, but says there is a major condition for it to happen.
