The countdown Oleksandr Usyk‘s epic rematch with Tyson Fury continues.
Seven months after the first historic fight in May which Usyk won to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in more than 20 years, these two heavyweights will go at it again out in Saudi Arabia.
The contest was a close one in which ‘The Gypsy King’ looked to be pulling ahead in the middle rounds, but Usyk dug deep as he has famously done before against the likes of Anthony Joshua and turned it around almost with a sustained beating of the Brit in the ninth round.
That was enough to separate the two men on the cards come the conclusion of the 12th round and hand Fury his first-ever professional loss.
Both have already long been in camp, with Usyk admitting that he knows the second fight will be tougher and Fury promising not to make the same mistakes again.
Ahead of the rematch, former champion turned pundit Tim Bradley has made his prediction to Title Spots Network and is going with the Ukrainian former undisputed cruiserweight king.
“Yeah, I do [think Usyk wins again]. I’ve been wrong many times. I picked Fury to win the first fight and I was wrong. Fury was on his way to winning but then Usyk turned it up on him and beat him.”
Many hope that Fury can win the rematch and Anthony Joshua beats Daniel Dubois in their upcoming fight so the two Brits could then finally meet in the ring next year, although Usyk has also said he would be happy to give ‘AJ’ a trilogy bout after beating him twice.
