World Title Challenger Who Fought Terence Crawford And Vergil Ortiz Has No Doubt Who Hits Harder

A former opponent of Terence Crawford and Vergil Ortiz Jr has revealed who actually punches the hardest.

It has been speculated in recent months that the unbeaten American duo are said to be interested in facing each other at some stage in the future.

‘Bud’ Crawford is 41-fights into what has been an accomplished professional career, where he has won world titles in four weight classes including the undisputed championship at super-lightweight and welterweight respectively.

As for Ortiz, the 27-year-old from Texas has emerged as one of the sport’s brightest talents in the last 12 to 18 months. He currently holds the WBC ‘interim’ light-middleweight title, with his most recent defence coming against Israil Madrimov back in February.

One man who lost to both Crawford and Ortiz by stoppage is Lithuania’s world title challenger Egidijus Kavaliauskas, who is more commonly known as ‘Mean Machine’.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, ‘Mean Machine’ was asked to reveal which of his former rivals punched him the hardest.

“Vergil Ortiz had more power. He’s more powerful & stronger.”

Kavaliauskas was then asked to share his thoughts on a potential clash between Crawford and Ortiz.

“I feel Vergil Ortiz is the winner in that fight. He will beat Crawford.”

Ortiz is set to return to the ring before the end of the year, with reports of a clash between fellow countryman and former unified world welterweight champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis beginning to circulate.

As for Crawford, the 37-year-old from Omaha is currently in preparations for his much anticipated ‘super-fight’ with undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez, which takes place on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
