Tommy Fury Sums Up Jake Paul’s Performance Against Mike Tyson Perfectly In Just 2 Words

Tommy Fury has revealed his thoughts on Jake Paul‘s victory over Mike Tyson.

Paul and Tyson met on Friday in a bout which rightly or wrongly was one of the biggest fights to take place in boxing this year and one of the most viewed ever,

Over 72,300 fans were in attendance at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, generating a gate of 18.1 million dollars, while Netflix reported that over 60 million households watched the event live on the streaming service.

While it may have been a roaring success commercially, the action inside the ring was less successful, with boxing legend Tyson looking every bit of his 58-years-old as Paul earned a dominant unanimous decision victory.

It saw Paul extend his record to 11 wins and just one defeat, with his only loss to date coming against Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia back in February 2023.

Fury has now given his take on his former rival’s win over Tyson whilst speaking to IFL TV, and he needed just two words to sum up his thoughts on the event.

“Bank robbery.”

Fury then explained that, while he didn’t respect what he saw from a boxing standpoint, he knows that commercially you can’t begrudge it.

“I didn’t expect anything else other than what we saw. I’m not going to talk about it in a boxing sense because there’s no point doing that because you can’t, but in a business sense and in a commercial sense it was absolutely amazing.

“Well done to both men, they earned plenty of money out of it. They left with a little trickle of sweat over their eyebrow, that’s it isn’t it. That’s all you can say about it. Great business sense but as a fight it’s not even worth talking about.”

Fury isn’t the only man to recently weigh in on Paul’s fight with Tyson, as current undefeated world champion Artur Beterbiev has urged the Youtuber-turned-boxer to face him next.
