Tommy Fury Has Summed Up Mike Tyson’s Performance Against Jake Paul In Just 1 Word

Tommy Fury is the only man to defeat Jake Paul, and he was quick to sum up Mike Tyson‘s performance against his former rival.

Tyson and Paul finally locked horns on Friday night in front of over 72,300 fans at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, generating a gate of 18.1 million dollars in the process.

It was broadcast live on Netflix, with the streaming service announcing that over 108 million global viewers tuned in to watch the event.

Despite the success of the gate and the viewing figures, it wasn’t a fight to remember inside the ring, with Tyson looking a shell of his former self as the 58-year-old competed in his first professional contest since 2005.

He tripped up during his ring walk and wore a knee brace in the fight, as Paul ran out a comfortable unanimous decision winner against the fighter once dubbed ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ when he was the youngest heavyweight champion in history.

Fury defeated Paul back in February 2023 when they met in Saudi Arabia, and he needed just one word to describe the action from the weekend whilst talking to Pro Boxing Fans.

“Shocking.”

Fury then further explained his thoughts on the controversial match-up.

“Business sense it was amazing.

Fight wise it was absolutely shocking. It wasn’t even a fight. Tipped and tapped around. Don’t hit me and I won’t hit you. Got a paycheque and left. That’s all it was.”

Teddy Atlas is another big name from the boxing world to give his reaction to the fight, summing up Paul’s performance in just four words.
