Tommy Fury Is The Only Man To Beat Jake Paul And Summed Up His Boxing Ability Perfectly In 3 Words

Tommy Fury is the only man to defeat Jake Paul inside a professional boxing ring.

The two men met in Saudi Arabia back in February 2023, with Fury winning an eight round split decision despite being dropped in the final round of the bout.

Since that loss, Paul has won four straight fights, defeating former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Mike Perry, along with professional boxers Ryan Bourland and Andre August.

The victories over Bourland and August came via first round knockout, and Paul now turns his attention to a showdown with boxing legend Mike Tyson next week.

The fight has split opinion within the sport, with many onlookers believing that Tyson shouldn’t be stepping back into a ring at the age of 58, and having not had a professional contest for nearly two decades.

Others feel that despite the age, Tyson will still have far too much for the Youtuber-turned-boxer, who prior to 2020 had never stepped in a professional ring before.

Having handed Paul his only defeat to date, Fury knows better than most about his boxing ability, and he summed it up in three words when speaking to DAZN.

“He’s very average.”

Fury then went further and explained how Paul compares to professional boxers.

“I think he’s average. I think he’s the best out of the YouTube boxers but again in the world of professional boxing when you start mixing skill alongside a lot of other things then I think he’s very average”

Paul and Tyson meet at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, and Tommy’s brother Tyson Fury has now given a knockout prediction for the fight.
