Tony Bellew has weighed in on Moses Itauma‘s chances against the heavyweight division’s biggest names, including Anthony Joshua.

Itauma continued to impress this month when he blasted Dillian Whyte out inside one round in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was the 13th win and 11th stoppage of his fledgling campaign, and a statement of intent that he is more than ready to handle the pressure of headlining shows.

In the aftermath, talk turned to how the 20-year-old would fare in his next step-up, including predictions against the likes of Tyson Fury and even undisputed ruler Oleksandr Usyk.

A match-up with Joshua – though a fantasy at this stage due to both men being trained by Ben Davison – would represent a real opportunity for Itauma to solidify a changing of the guard in the heavyweight division.

Bellew, who has been a big backer of Joshua in the past, told eSportsBets.com the young gun beats everyone on the scene other than Fury and Usyk.

“There’s nobody in the world right now, apart from Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, who Itauma couldn’t pick holes in and beat. Apart from those two, he’s gonna nail anyone. He’s gonna catch anyone. The big fact is, will they nail him first? Only Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are capable of making him miss and making him pay. All the other fighters in the division, he will catch them.”

Itauma is expected back out in December as he continues to build his case as the next heavyweight king. Possible opponents that have been floated are tough Croatian Filip Hrgovic and veteran Regular Champion Kubrat Pulev.

As for ‘AJ’, talks for a big-money bout with Jake Paul have now ended and the two-time champion is instead expected to take on a more traditional rival in early 2026. Fans remain in hope that Fury, who has been in retirement since January, will return for the pleasure.
