Two of the greatest fighters in UFC history are set to do battle on the undercard of Jake Paul‘s upcoming showdown with Anthony Joshua.
Paul was originally pencilled in to face reigning WBA world lightweight champion Gervonta Davis earlier this month but the bout was scrapped after ‘Tank’ found himself at the centre of a domestic violence allegation.
‘AJ’ will be making his first ring appearance in just over one year when he faces Paul next month. The 36-year-old from Watford was last in action back in September 2024 when he suffered the fourth defeat of his career to countryman Daniel Dubois.
As the undercard for the controversial match-up between Joshua and Paul begins to take shape, it has now been confirmed that two legendary MMA fighters will lock horns.
As reported by Ariel Helwani, former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will step in to face Anderson Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout after Chris Weidman was forced to pull out with an injury.

Paul is no stranger to sharing the ring with both Silva and Woodley, racking up victories over the former UFC superstars during his boxing career.
‘The Problem Child’ defeated Woodley twice within the space of four months back in 2021, outpointing ‘The Chosen One’ in their first encounter which he followed up with a sixth round stoppage victory when they fought for the second time.
Paul extended his record to 6-0 when he defeated Silva via unanimous decision when they locked horns in October 2022 at the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona.
