Mike Tyson Drops Sparring Partner With Left Hook In Jake Paul Training Camp: “Don’t Mess With Me”

Mike Tyson‘s controversial fight with Jake Paul is now just weeks away.

The two men will meet at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, in the first live boxing event streamed on Netflix.

The bout has been met by criticism from plenty of boxing figures, due to Tyson being 58-years-old and not having a professional fight for nearly two decades.

During his peak, ‘Iron Mike’ was an unstoppable force who became the youngest world heavyweight champion in history, also winning his first 19 bouts by knockout, 12 of them inside the first round.

His last bout came in 2005 though when he retired on his stool against Kevin McBride, and he was stopped by Danny Williams inside four rounds in the bout prior to that.

As for Paul, the Youtuber-turned-boxer is 10-1 as a professional, and at 27-years-old is over 30 years younger than Tyson. During his boxing career he has mainly beaten former UFC stars that have made the switch from MMA, including Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

Further concerns surrounding the Tyson vs. Paul fight grew when the bout had to be postponed from its original July date after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare up after a medical incident on an airplane.

‘Iron Mike’ is keen to prove the doubters wrong though, and if his latest training footage is anything to go by, it appears that he does have what it takes to be stepping back into the ring.

In a clip posted on social media, Tyson drops his sparring partner with a big left hook, showing that he still carries some of the power that made him known as ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet.’

The video was accompanied by a clear message, as ‘Iron Mike’ looks to claim bragging rights over his rival.

“Don’t f*ck with me. I got a lot in me. I’m just getting started.”

With the fight quickly approaching, three former world heavyweight champions have answered if they would be willing to take on Tyson next.
