Tyson Fury enters the ring this weekend looking to avenge a defeat for the first time in his career when he rematches Oleksandr Usyk.
The pair first did battle back in May with the Ukrainian coming out a split decision points winner. They return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this week to run it again.
Speaking to Boxing News, promoter Frank Warren has now revealed that a contract has been signed for the trilogy should his man manage to reverse the result this time around.
“Oh, it does [trump all other fights] because it’s contracted. And whatever happens that would be the case, if Tyson wins. Provided nobody retires.”
“When I win this fight with Usyk then there has to be a third fight. There has to be. Because if you win one and I win one then there has to be a third fight.
Regardless who won the second one, there has to be a third fight to see who is the best out of us two. One each, one decider. And that’s what I’ll look for after that.”
Of course, first is the small matter of becoming the only man to defeat Usyk, who won the undisputed title in the first bout after doing the same down at cruiserweight years prior.
He has since vacated the IBF belt – awarded to Daniel Dubois – meaning only the WBC, WBA and WBO titles are on the line this weekend.
