Tyson Fury is currently retired but there continues to be hints about a potential return to the ring.
Fury announced he was hanging up his gloves in January following his two blockbuster fights with Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.
The first of them came in May of that year and was for undisputed honours, with Usyk claiming a split decision victory to add the WBC crown to his WBA, WBO and IBF titles and become the first ever sole ruler of the division in the four-belt era.
Usyk then vacated the IBF strap in order to honour the rematch with Fury which took place in December, but once again it was the Ukrainian who came out on top, this time earning a unanimous decision verdict.
It was then believed that Fury would then turn his attention to an all-British showdown with domestic rival Anthony Joshua, before ‘The Gypsy King’ abruptly announced his retirement earlier this year, but many fans feel he will still compete again at some stage.
While a fight with Joshua seems the most likely for Fury should he return, there is one man that he seemingly has no intention of ever fighting.
In a clip posted by Queensberry Promotions, Fury acknowledged the threat of young rising star Moses Itauma, joking that he would never want to take him on.
“Fight Moses Itauma? No, definitely not. Do you think I’m stupid?”
Itauma has burst onto the scene in recent years, now possessing an unbeaten record of 12-0, with 10 of his victories coming by knockout.
He recently missed out on getting the chance to break Mike Tyson’s record of being the youngest world heavyweight champion in history, but at just 20-years-old, it looks to be a very bright future for Itauma.
