Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn have been on a collision course for years, and Tyson Fury has now weighed in with his prediction for their upcoming fight.

This long-standing rivalry between the two became one of the most talked-about sagas in boxing. In October 2022, they were just days away from their highly anticipated bout but the fight was called off after it was revealed that Benn had tested positive for a banned substance.

After that, Benn was involved in legal battles in an effort to clear his name and finally, at the end of last year, he announced that he was cleared to return to the ring and negotiations for this contest soon began in earnest once more.

Eubank Jr. has had an eventful time in the ring of late, by facing Liam Smith twice. He suffered a knockout loss in their first meeting but secured a stoppage victory in the rematch and then got another win under his belt when he beat Kamil Szeremeta last time out in October.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Fury was asked to predict the contest and with the fight being at 160lbs is backing the naturally bigger Eubank to get his hand raised.

“[This is a weight category] thing. If it’s at 10 stone or whatever it is, 10 and a half stone, it’s going to be Conor Benn, if it’s at middleweight, it’s probably going to be Eubank.”

The build-up has already been feisty with Eubank Jr slapping an egg in Benn’s face and receiving a hefty fine for his troubles.
