Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr have long been on a collision course and Tyson Fury has now predicted what might happen if the two finally meet up in the boxing ring.

This inter-generational rivalry is one of the longest on-going sagas in boxing. Both men have been talking up a fighting one another for many years. Back in October 2022, they were just hours away from the first bell when it emerged that Benn had tested positive for banned substances and so the fight was pulled.

Since then, he has continually protested his innocence but has been involved with legal battles with the British Boxing Board of Control to clear his name.

He announced at the end of last year that he was finally free to fight, so now all attention has turned to this contest once more. In the meantime, Eubank has fought Liam Smith twice, lost once by knockout and won the rematch by knockout, while Benn has won two low-key contests out in the United States.

Speaking to TNTSportsBoxing, Fury predicted different winners for this contest depending on the weight of the contest.

“[This is a weight category] thing. If it’s at 10 stone or whatever it is, 10 and a half stone, it’s going to be Conor Benn, if it’s at middleweight, it’s probably going to be Eubank.”

‘The Gypsy King’s is backing Eubank as it has been made clear that the fight, if made, will be at middleweight.

Talks between the two camps are on going but Benn has also said he wants a world title shot next and that WBC champion Mario Barrios is his main target.
