Tyson Fury has sent his first warning to Oleksandr Usyk since confirming he will be exercising his rematch option.
Usyk became the only man to defeat ‘The Gypsy King’ back in May and with that was crowned the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis nearly 25 years ago.
After the fight, some suggested Fury might hang up the gloves instead of facing the Ukrainian once more, but it didn’t take long for the 35-year-old to squash those rumours and activate his rematch clause.
Now, in the caption for a new training video released by ‘The Gypsy King’ on Instagram, he has vowed to reclaim his throne after admitting to ‘shortcomings’ last time out.
“Listen up! I’ve conquered everything in boxing, titles, records, the lot. But I’ve never had to come back from a loss.
On December 21st in Riyadh, in the heart of the kingdom, the king will reclaim his throne and become undisputed. Usyk, I’m coming for you! Get ready for the Gypsy King!
The path to redemption is all mine. I know what I have to do, I saw my shortcomings and best believe I am inevitable.”

Turki Alalshikh, the man behind big time boxing in Saudi Arabia, has confirmed that the two will run it back on December 21 in The Kingdom. Whether all four belts will be on the line again remains to be seen, with the IBF threatening to strip Usyk for not fulfilling his mandatory duties.
