Tyson Fury Warned To Prepare For ‘War’ In Potential Banana Skin Comeback Fight

Tyson Fury has taken a tricky comeback fight to get him back in the ring after a long layoff.

Fury has retired several times over his storied career, most notably the first time when he suffered with mental health demons and addiction issues following his epic world title win on away soil against the long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko.

However, he proved his ability to battle back from adversity, get in shape and fight well when he challenged Deontay Wilder three times between 2018 and 2021, drawing the first, then knocking out ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in the next two.

He has also show vulnerabilities, such as when he was knocked down by UFC star Francis Ngannou when he crossed over to boxing in 2023, which is why some fans are concerned about this latest comeback.

He is set to face Arslanbek Makhumdov in April in what will be his first fight since a seance loss to Oleksandr Usyk back in December 2024.

Speaking about the fight, Makhmudov explained how pleased he is to get this chance, and promised a hard night for Fury.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity. I’m coming to deliver a war. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more than ready to leave with a massive W.”

Makhumdov is a big hitter who saw off the challenge of Dave Allen in Sheffield last time out, but has also been stopped to the body by Agit Kabayel, which is something Fury may well focus on when the pair meet.
