Tyson Fury has taken on a number of elite heavyweights throughout his career.
After first becoming world heavyweight champion with a win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, Fury took time away from the sport, before returning and claiming world honours again with a victory against Deontay Wilder in 2020.
‘The Gypsy King’ retired from the sport in January after back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, but has hinted in recent weeks that he could be set to return to boxing in 2026.
One fighter who he seemingly has no plans to get in the ring with though is Agit Kabayel, after Fury revealed at a Goldstar Promotions event that along with Joseph Parker, they are two of the men he doesn’t ever want to face.
“They are my two brothers. They are both lovely guys, and they are both future world heavyweight champions.
“I wish them all the very best in the world and I won’t fight either man for any amount of money because some things ain’t worth fighting for.”
Fury then doubled down on his reasoning in a separate interview with JNMEDIAUK, where he declared that Kabayel will take over the division.
“F*** that, f*** fighting him. Agit’s taking over now, it’s takeover time.”
Kabayel is unbeaten in his career with a record of 26-0, 18 of those victories coming by knockout. In his last fight he claimed a sixth round stoppage win against Zhilei Zhang, and is expected to compete in another high stakes heavyweight bout in the near future.
One potential future opponent could be Moses Itauma, another rising star that is also tipped for big things in the division, and Fury has also heaped plenty of praise on the 20-year-old.
