Tyson Fury’s Brother Gives ‘True’ Verdict On Usyk Result After Watching Fight Back Several Times

Team Tyson Fury is gearing up for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December of this year.

‘The Gypsy King’ is preparing himself for something he has never experienced before – trying to bounce back from a loss. That came back in May in the much-anticipated four-belt fight against Usyk, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion who has yet to taste defeat.

Speaking to iFL TV, key member of the team and Tyson’s brother Shane Fury has admitted they fought the wrong fight last time, but believes they can get revenge with the right gameplan.

“The good thing about it is it’s a winnable fight for next time. Whether he will or not is two different things. Tyson fought the wrong fight, we fought the wrong fight, so he knows different now so we’ll see. But I suppose it’s much easier said than done to walk up to a man like that and get stuck into him isn’t it? But if you train your mind it might be much easier to do it than trying to flick it on in the next round.”

Although Tyson continues to claim he thought he won easy on the night, Shane disagrees and flip-flops between Usyk and his brother each time he watches it back.

“It was a good close fight.

Sometimes I watch it and think Usyk won, sometimes I watch it and think Tyson won and that is the truth of the matter. Anyone who sees different has an agenda behind them.

He really fought the wrong fight. A week before the event, or two weeks, we all sat down and I explained what we needed to do. I do think Tyson’s got the beating of him in the next fight.”

Should Fury come through and become a three-time world champion then more great fights lay ahead, whether that’s a trilogy with the Ukrainian, an undisputed clash against promotional stablemate Daniel Dubois or a long-awaited clash with recently defeated Anthony Joshua. First up is December 21 and the tall task of handing Usyk his first loss.
