Mike Tyson Responds To Evander Holyfield Calling For Trilogy Fight 3 Days After Jake Paul Defeat

Mike Tyson left the door open for another fight following his defeat to Jake Paul.

Tyson and Paul met on Friday in a bout that was nearly one year in the making, as they finally squared off in their highly-publicised showdown that was broadcast live on Netflix.

The clash drew plenty of criticism in the build-up due to ‘Iron Mike’ now being 58-years-old and having not had a professional fight since 2005, and sadly the boxing legend looked a shell of his former self in the ring.

Paul dominated the majority of the action on his way to a unanimous decision win, but Tyson didn’t rule out retiring after the bout, and even suggested he may take on Jake’s brother Logan.

Fellow heavyweight boxing legend Evander Holyfield took to social media to call out his former foe, looking to secure a trilogy after the pair had two famous fights in the 1990s.

Holyfield won the first by 11th round stoppage to claim the WBA heavyweight title in their first meeting, before their rematch then memorably ended in a third round disqualification loss for Tyson, after he bit the ear of Holyfield.

While Holyfield may seem keen on another showdown with Tyson, it appears that ‘Iron Mike’ has no intention of granting his wish after he responded with a defiant answer.

“I love you brother, but the trilogy is our friendship.”

Holyfield and Tyson have since become close, and ‘The Real Deal’ was in attendance on Friday to witness the fight against Paul, and he needed just five words to sum up the performance of his former rival.
