Mike Tyson’s Son Reveals How He’s Really Handling Jake Paul Defeat

It’s nearly been one month since Mike Tyson and Jake Paul‘s clash.

They did battle on a card taking place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in November, which was the first ever live boxing event to be broadcast on Netflix.

It was a huge commercial success, generating over an 18 million dollar gate, whilst also attracting more than 60 million concurrent streams.

While it may have been a smash hit financial wise, the action inside the ring was less impressive, with 58-year-old Tyson finding it difficult to compete in what was his first professional boxing match in nearly 20 years.

Paul was able to claim the unanimous decision victory after eight two-minute rounds, and ‘Iron Mike’ now appears to have once again called time on his career for good.

With the dust nearly fully settled from their encounter, Tyson’s son Amir has now revealed to ESNews just how his father has been handling the loss in the weeks since the clash with Paul.

“He’s just been in his zone staying to himself. He’s real good. He’s not handling it bad. He knocked out Netflix and it was all because of him pretty much. It was a historic night. Everybody involved got paid and it was a good night.”

While Tyson’s legendary career inside the ring may be over, Youtuber-turned-boxer Paul is very much continuing with his, as he looks to have just as big a 2025 as he did this past year.

One fight that he regularly talked about as being a goal of his was a showdown with pound-for-pound megastar Canelo Alvarez, but it seems that may no longer be on Paul’s wish list after he made a big U-turn regarding the bout.
