The third edition of the eight-man Ultimate Boxxer tournament concept arrives with new broadcast partners and the prize of a promotional contract for the middleweight winner. There is prize money too but the main thing is the exposure.
The contenders are: 12-1 Grant Dennis; 10-0-1 Joe Hurn; 11-1 Tey-Lynn Jones; 6-0 Derrick Osaze; 10-0 betting favourite Keiron Conway; 5-0-1 Kaan Hawes; 7-1 Josh Groombridge and 5-0-1 Sean Phillips.
The tournament format is the same as Matchroom’s Prizefighter series in that we have three quarter-finals, two semis and a final, all contested over three three-minute rounds. There are undercard fights too and the concept as a whole mixes boxing action with music and celebrity guests.
