There are a long list of contenders and champions looking to hand Saul ‘Canelo‘ Alvarez his third defeat.

The four-weight world champion from Guadalajara, Mexico has been bested inside the ropes just twice in 66 fights – once against Floyd Mayweather and more recently against Dmitry Bivol.

Canelo looks to become two-time undisputed in the super-middleweight division when he faces new IBF Champion William Scull in May. Should he come through that unification, he is all set to face Terence Crawford this September in Las Vegas.

Crawford will be moving up two divisions from his last contest, and another man willing to make a jump, albeit just one class, is Janibek Alimkhanuly.

Speaking to Seconds Out, the undefeated IBF and WBO Middleweight World Champion said he is totally ready for the fight, one that he does not believe will be much of a challenge.

“I am 100% ready to be his opponent and this will be easy for me.”

Janibek then said he believes there is ‘nothing special’ about Alvarez, and that he is not looking as impressive as he once did.

“We see nothing special, nothing extraordinary. Everything is within the frame … I would say he’s not active like in the past. He does not have the ability anymore to jump to everybody like in the past. He knows what his place is.”

Janibek is due to defend his belts in a Khazakhstan homecoming fight against Anauel Ngamissengue on April 5. He may push for undisputed at 160 pounds given Canelo has his plans in place, but if he keeps impressing and moves up then a fight may become one fans want to see.
