Oleksandr Usyk Weighs In At Career Heaviest For Daniel Dubois Undisputed Rematch

Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois have weighed in for their undisputed heavyweight championship fight.

Usyk already became the undisputed champion last year with a win over Tyson Fury, though had to vacate the IBF title to honour a rematch clause.

Dubois, who had won the interim belt against Filip Hrgovic, was elevated to champion and made his first defence against Anthony Joshua. That spectacular KO win set him up for this four-belt clash.

Taking to the scales ahead of their main event tomorrow, Dubois weighed in at 243.8lbs whilst Usyk was 227lbs and 3oz.

The Ukrainian has hovered around 220 since his move up from cruiserweight in 2019, his previous highest being 226 in the Fury rematch. Dubois’ fight against Joshua was his career-highest weight at 248.5lbs

The pair of champions meet for the second time this Saturday at Wembley Stadium, London. When they first fought back in 2023, the Ukrainian retained his WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles with a ninth round stoppage. The fight was not without controversy, however, with the Brit’s team feeling hard done by after referee Luis Pabon called a low blow they feel was both legal and significant.

With home fighter Dubois convinced he can hurt Usyk and Usyk well aware that he mentally broke his rival and ended things with a stiff jab first time around, both men will step through the ropes with confidence.

Opinion in the boxing world largely sways towards Usyk, though there is little doubt that this fight is a much tougher test than the first, with some big names picking Dubois to score the upset by knockout.
