Oleksandr Usyk is one of the most decorated boxers of his generation, but is now nearing the end of his fabulous career.
The Ukrainian southpaw first rose to prominence as far back as the amateurs when he cleaned up at the 2012 Olympics and became a gold medallist.
Within six years, Usyk had dominated the professional ranks in the cruiserweight division and become an undisputed champion, then moved up to heavyweight.
Another six years on, he became the first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis and then became a two-time undisputed ruler when he beat Daniel Dubois for a second time, having also twice beaten fellow Brits Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
He was last out back in August 2025, and is set to return to the ring against legendary kicking champion Rico Verhoeven in May, with the fight taking place at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
Speaking on the Inside the Ring Show, he has now outlined that he has three fights left and who he hopes they will be against.
“First, it’s Rico, I want the next fight with the winner of Daniel Dubois and Wardley. Third fight, it’s my friend ‘Greedy Belly’ Tyson Fury.”
Dubois take son Wardley for his WBO World title in April, and Wardley has already said he is happy to test himself against the best, while Fury is back in action for the first time since December 2024 when her faces Arslanbek Makmudov also in April, so all three fights are a possibility for Usyk before he retires.
