Usyk’s Team Reveals The One Major Reason The Daniel Dubois Undisputed Rematch Won’t Happen

Oleksandr Usyk is being linked with a second fight with Daniel Dubois.

Usyk remains unbeaten in every single professional boxing contest he has entered. This past weekend, for a second time he bestwe the former two-time champion Tyson Fury with another mightily impressive showing across 12-rounds.

In a close fight, the Ukrainian rarely took a backward step and instead remained right on the toes and in the face of his much larger opponent.

In the judges’ eyes, that pressure and the successful shots he landed throughout were enough for him to take the victory and retain three of the four major world titles he won in his last fight with Fury back in May.

Last year, Usyk defended his world titles against Dubois in a controversial fight in Poland. Dubois started well and landed a shot that sent Usyk to the canvas but was ruled a low blow.

He took the full time required to recover, turned the fight on its head and stopped Dubois in the later rounds. Dubois has since gone on to pick up the IBF belt that Usyk had to vacate to honour his rematch with Fury, so now people are talking about the pair facing off once more.

Speaking to FightHubTV however, Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk has thrown that matchup into doubt by suggesting Dubois could lose his February 22 fight with Joseph Parker.

“Do you think Dubois wins Parker? My bet is with Parker. We don’t know what we’re going to see. Everything is possible or nothing is impossible.”

Parker is a former WBO world champion who is in fine form having beaten Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang in his last two outings.
