Like Oleksandr Usyk, Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol have a huge rematch coming up.
Beterbiev and Bivol battled it out for ultimate supremacy in the light heavyweight division when the pair fought for the undisputed title back in October.
It was a close 12-round contest in which Bivol started well but Beterbiev ended the stronger. His aggression was visible for all to see while Bivol relied on his technical skills and ultimately fell just short on the scorecards, though many in the sport feel he was hard done by.
The rematch is now set for February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and ahead of that Usyk has spoken to Boxing King Media about how the first fight went. He admitted it was close but agreed with the result.
“Yeah I watched this fight, I think Beterbiev win. Listen, for me, I say for me, six-six for rounds, but the more important was Beterbiev. The last two, last three rounds, were won by Beterbiev.”
Beterbiev and Usyk have a history of their own as they fought in the amateur ranks and it was the light heavyweight star who came out on top. Speaking recently he admitted he would be keen to move up a division if Usyk were able to move back down so they could have a rematch in the cruiserweight pro ranks.
