Frank Warren is already looking ahead to Moses Itauma‘s next fight, should he win his first contest of 2026.
Itauma has been out of action since August, when he blew away Dillian Whyte inside the first three minutes of their contest. He was scheduled to fight Jermaine Franklin in January, but a shoulder injury postponed that fight until this evening.
Franklin is a durable opponent who is known to UK fight fans for having gone the full 12 rounds with both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte in previous years.
Itauma has stopped 11 of his 13 opponents so far, and doing so again tonight against the American would be a statement win for the young heavyweight hopeful.
His promoter Warren would then have many options for where to take him next. One of those seems to be American knockout artist Jared Anderson who he has just signed to his promotional outfit, Queensberry Boxing.
Speaking to ProBoxing Fans, Warren outlined his potential game plan should 20-year-old Itauma get his 14th win on the spin.
“Moses is fighting an American in Jermaine on Saturday. If he comes through that and if Jared [Anderson] can come through and get a couple of wins under his belt, we’ll take Moses to America and maybe fight him there.”
At one stage, Anderson was a much hyped new name in the division with a 100% knockout ratio. That was until he came up against Martin Bakole and was stopped in the fifth-round out in the United States.
That was in August 2024, and since then he has fought just once in February 2025 when he secured a unanimous decision win over Marios Kollias.
