Frank Warren has offered some insight into the latest reports that Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could be on a collision course for a fight in 2026.

This has long been one of the most desirable fights in world boxing, even now that both men are in the latter half of their 30s and both are coming off losses.

Fury shared the ring twice with Oleksandr Usyk in his attempts to become undisputed champion and lost both contests on points, while Joshua was attempting to regain a world title following his pair of losses to Usyk. He took on Daniel Dubois last September for the IBF belt but was stopped inside five rounds after a below-par showing.

Speaking to The Stomping Ground, promoter Warren responded to the reports that Joshua and Fury are in discussion for this fight to take place in 2026.

“There is certainly a will to make it happen. You’ll see it once the terms are agreed and the contracts are signed. I think there’s a good chance of it happening, I do think there is a good chance of it happening.

“We spoke yesterday and as Spencer [Brown, Fury’s Manager] said, there is a lot of positivity, certainly from Tyson that he wants to do it, but how he does it is all about how he’s satisfied financially and I think that will happen so we should see it.”

This all-British showdown could be a legacy-defining fight for whoever comes out on top, but first, Joshua must deal with Jake Paul this weekend if he is to keep his rebuild on track.
