It was by far the strangest part of a fight card that while entertaining was, for the most part, predictable. Vasiliy Lomachenko won yet again, Joshua Buatsi impressed and Joe Cordina retained his British and Commonwealth titles.

Charlie Edwards vs Julio Martinez proved an exception, however. To recap, WBC flyweight champion Edwards, under severe pressure in round three after a body shot, took a knee. Martinez landed another devastating blow downstairs with Edwards prone but the referee carried on counting the champ out. Martinez was initially declared the victor and new titlist, but WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman changed the verdict to a No Contest.
