One big talking point ahead of the Chris Eubank Jr vs. Conor Benn rematch has been surrounding the weight.

Nearly three years after they were originally set to meet, Eubank Jr and Benn finally collided at Wembley Stadium in London on April 27, continuing a rivalry that was started by their fathers over 30 years ago.

There had been many twists and turns in the build-up to that April showdown, including failed drugs tests, fines for egg slaps at press conferences and Eubank Jr missing weight, but it proved to be a brilliant battle between the two fighters.

In the end it was Eubank Jr that was victorious, claiming the unanimous decision win to hand Benn the first defeat of his professional career.

After some uncertainty about whether or not a rematch will happen, it has been confirmed that it will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on November 15.

Just like their initial clash, the weight has been heavily discussed ahead of their second meeting, with concerns once again raised over Eubank Jr attempting to make the 160lb weight limit and then only being able to rehydrate 10lbs the morning of the fight.

Despite those worries, it has been confirmed that the rematch will go ahead with the exact same weight limitations.

One man who may be unhappy about that outcome is Eubank’s father Chris Sr, who has heavily criticised in the past the decision to make his son compete under those restrictions, even recently claiming that Jr should forget about the Benn rematch and face someone else.
