Experienced trainer of heavyweights, Don Charles, is convinced Oleksandr Usyk should steer clear of Carlos Takam
Following a highly decorated spell at cruiserweight, former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk is still waiting to make his anticipated heavyweight debut. A match rugged Carlos Takam was set for May but Usyk suffered a torn biceps and withdrew. It recently seemed likely the contest would be resurrected for October 12 in Chicago but Takam signing with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing has thrown that into doubt.
Respected trainer Don Charles, a heavyweight specialist, feels if the fight does take place it could be a big mistake for the Ukranian.
