Dillian Whyte has had some pointed words for one of his heavyweight rivals.
Whyte has had a storied career that has seen him fight at the very top-level over the last decade. He announced his arrival on the scene with a thunderous fight with Anthony Joshua back in December 2015, with both men wobbled and hurt before Whyte was eventually knocked out by Joshua in their British title fight.
Since then he has fought the likes of Tyson Fury, lost to and then beat Alexander Povetkin, had two heated battles with Derek Chisora and fought Joseph Parker, Jermaine Franklin and many more to take his record to 31 wins from 35 fights.
Last time out in August, he returned from a layoff and got stopped inside two minutes by rising star Moses Itauma and is now looking to return once more in 2026 for a final throw of the dice.
Speaking to iFL TV, he shared his dislike of former cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie’s recent actions.
“Why did Lawrence Okolie go to help Jake to get ready for ‘AJ ‘when ‘AJ’ is the one that burst Okolie on the scene and gave him a name on the scene. That’s mad, there’s no loyalty in the scene at all. I don’t like Okolie, he’s a snake, he’s a rat. There’s no loyalty in this scene. I want people to see him for what he is, he’s a rat.”
This escalating boxing rivalry between the two could lead to a fight, though Whyte has already turned down one offer to meet in the ring back in late 2025 and said he has no real desire to face such a ‘negative’ style. Okolie still wants the fight.
