Dillian Whyte is ready to get back in action and is looking to share the ring with a UK heavyweight.
Why has been out of the ring for 13 months. The last time he stepped between the ropes was August 2025, when he was stopped inside the first round by young Moses Itauma.
He is a former world title challenger who has shared the ring with the likes of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, but is now 38 years old, so time is not on his side.
Speaking to Sky Sports Boxing, Whyte admitted that he would be keen to challenge Johnny Fisher following his recent win.
“Johnny Fisher has been calling me out for a while. His team and his manager said they want to fight me. I’m well up for that fight.
“I took some time off, spent at bit time with my family and my dogs and my goats. Now I’m back, I’m ready to fight, I’m in good shape. I sustained an injury in my last fight but now Im good. I’m ready to go again. I’ll fight anyone, you know me.”
Fisher beat Michael Pirotton via majority decision after 10 rounds this past weekend, and that comes after his KO win last December over Ivan Balaz. Before that he twice fought Dave Allen, controversially winning the first fight and losing the second by TKO.
Whyte would be a big step up for the ‘Romford Bull ‘, but the timing could be just right for him, as Whyte has been so inactive.
