Dillian Whyte Beat Joseph Parker And Now Gives Verdict On Daniel Dubois Fight: “He’s Not Like AJ”

Dillian Whyte has shared the ring with Joseph Parker and has given some insight to the experience ahead of his upcoming world title fight against Daniel Dubois.

Parker is in great form right now. The former WBO world champion has put together his best two wins to date in the last 12 months. Firstly he managed to neutralise the threat of Deontay Wilder‘s famously right hand last December with a points win, then repeated that feat back in March when he took on Zhilei Zhang and also won on points.

His efforts have won him a shot at IBF world champion Dubois as part of a huge card on February 22 next year that will also see a rematch between undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

Long-time heavyweight contender Whyte fought Parker back in 2018 and it was an all-action bout that Whyte won via unanimous decision after landing the better shots and knocking his man down in the 9th.

Speaking to iFL TV, Whyte was asked how he saw the fight going and said it depends on how much Parker has left.

“That’s a crazy fight, it just depends on how much damage the Zhang fight done to Parker. ‘Cause he got a few heavy knockdowns and there was some clubbing shots to the back of his head and his ears. Parker is not like ‘AJ,’ Parker’s feet are slower than ‘AJ.’ He’s got quicker hands, but he’s more defensively sound.”

For his part, Parker is confident of the win and recently declared he will be the new world champion come the evening of February 22 2025.

Whyte meanwhile returns to the ring for a 10-round heavyweight clash on Sunday, December 15th against Ebenezer Tetteh.
