Daniel Dubois defends his IBF World Heavyweight Title against Joseph Parker on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It is the battle of the form men in the division, with Parker coming off two statement wins against hard punchers Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang.

In his last three outings, Dubois has handed Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic their first defeats, both by stoppage, before being elevated to champion and defending his belt with an emphatic stoppage of Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium.

Speaking to IFL TV, Dillian Whyte – who beat Parker in 2018 – backed Dubois to continue his run of form and retain the belt in a hard fight.

“That’s a tough fight. Very tricky fight. Parker seems to be doing well at the minute. I’ll pick Dubois because he’s had a good run and he’s very confident, but Joseph’s good, man.

“Beating Zhang was obviously very surprising. Honestly, I thought Zhang would’ve beaten him easily but he got up twice and done his thing. He’s doing well at the minute, his last two fights he’s boxing good.”

The match-up will have strong implications on the heavyweight scene, with the likes of Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua and Martin Bakole all targetting the winner.

Most exciting for either Parker of Dubois, depending on who leaves with the belt, will undoubtedly be unified champion Usyk. The Ukrainian is looking to make a move to become two-time undisputed in the division before retirement.

As for Whyte, he is slated for a ring return against Joe Joyce, a man who has beaten both Dubois and Parker, with an announcement coming this week.
