Dillian Whyte is adamant he will continue to fight in 2026 and has named the man at the top of his hit list.

Whyte has always been in entertaining fights against the likes of Anthony Joshua, Alexander Povetkin, Oscar Rivas and Joseph Parker, though he has often fallen just short when he has got to world level.

Last time out, he was stopped inside two minutes by the young rising star Moses Itauma, although he had been out of the ring for the best part of a year and had fought just twice since 2022.

‘The Bodysnatcher’ was recently approached by Amir Khan’s promotional company and offered a fight with former cruiserweight and bridgerweight champion Lawrence Okolie, who is now campaigning in the banner division, thought it has been turned down as ’embarrassing’ by Whyte’s team.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Whyte’s manager Michael Ofo revealed that, instead, his old rival Derek Chisora is still at the top of his list.

“The fight with Chisora is the one Dillian wants, and it is the one we want. We are pushing for it to happen in the first quarter of next year. There is no hold up from our side, the pens are ready to sign that fight… The obstacle is Derek.”

The pair have fought twice before. The first fight was back in 2016 when Whyte came out on top with a controversial split decision win on the cards.

The rematch came in December 2018 and though Chisora was boxing well and could have been up on the cards, he was stopped in round 11 with a huge overhand right from Whyte.
