Jake Paul made his return to the ring on Saturday night.

The 28-year-old from Cleveland defeated former WBC middleweight world champion Chavez via unanimous decision at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

Paul dominated proceedings from the opening bell as he cruised to a comprehensive points victory against the Mexican, who has been criticised for what was an extremely underwhelming performance up until the last two rounds, in which he finally looked to be trying to win.

Just moments after he was declared the winner, ‘The Problem Child’ made a series of call-outs, targeting potential showdowns with one of the cruiserweight champions Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez and Badou Jack.

It didn’t take long for Paul to receive a response after making these claims, as Sweden’s three-weight world champion Jack didn’t hesitate to make his feelings clear about the performance and a potential clash with the 28-year-old in a social media post.

Paul is now expected to enter the WBC and WBO world rankings after defeating Chavez, although it remains to be seen whether the former Youtube star will be handed a dream world title shot on the back of his victory over the 39-year-old Mexican.

‘The Problem Child’ has also expressed an interest in facing two-time unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who could be tempted into locking horns with the American before the end of his impressive professional career.
