World Champion Who Has KO’d 9 Of His Last 10 Opponents Vows To Make ‘Easy Work’ Of Canelo

Canelo Alvarez has been called out by an undefeated world champion.

The Mexican superstar is currently preparing for a busy 2025, where the WBC, WBA and WBO super-middleweight champion will first take on IBF title-holder William Scull in May.

It gives Canelo another chance to become undisputed at 168lbs, before he is then set to turn his attention to a huge showdown against fellow pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford in September.

Crawford will be stepping up two weight divisions from 154lbs for the fight, having last been in action in August when he defeated Israil Madrimov to win the WBA super-welterweight title.

While Canelo is fully focused on the two fights ahead of him, that hasn’t stopped another undefeated star from making it known that he wants a future clash against the unified super-middleweight champion.

The man in question is Janibek Alimkhanuly, the current WBO and IBF middleweight champion who competed earlier this month when he stopped Anauel Ngamissengue inside five rounds to retain his titles and extend his unbeaten record to 17-0, with nine stoppages in his last ten fights.

Posting on his social media after that victory, Alimkhanuly didn’t waste any time in calling for a clash against Canelo.

“Canelo! Where are you? I am the king of middleweight! You think you are a king too! Let’s show the world a fight between two kings!”

He then followed it up with a prediction on how he thinks the fight would go.

“Easy work.”

With Canelo having his next two fights set, Alimkhanuly may have to wait a while before any meeting could take place, with unification bouts against either WBA champion Erislandy Lara or WBC champion Carlos Adames potentially more likely options for the Kazakh,
