Jake Paul has a target on his back following his controversial eight-rounder with Mike Tyson last year.

Paul, 27, welcomed the 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight back to boxing after 14 years away from the pro game. Unsurprisingly, the younger man cruised to a decision victory, with Tyson showing every bit of his age.

Since the victory, Paul has been called out by many big names in the sport, all of whom say they want to avenge ‘Iron’ Mike’s loss and, though they may not be as forthcoming about it, are looking to secure a mega payday for what would likely be a simple night’s work.

Speaking to Box Nation, IBF Heavyweight World Champion Daniel Dubois was asked why he was one of the fighters to call out Paul.

“You’ve got to man. He’s taken liberties with Mike. For the boxing community. To make some noise. Easy money. That would be a crazy shot wouldn’t it? Giving a YouTuber a chance to become heavyweight champion of the world … I don’t know, let’s see … Money talks.”

Dubois had a stellar 2024. Building off a December 2023 win over previously undefeated Jarrell Miller, the Brit also handed Filip Hrgovic his first loss in a bloody June battle. He was then upgraded to full champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt and silenced any doubters with a fifth round knockout of Anthony Joshua, making it 21 stoppages from 22 wins.

He is next out on February 22 not against Paul but Joseph Parker. Should he come through with the win, he is targeting a rematch with Usyk for a chance to become undisputed.
