There is plenty of action lined up in the heavyweight division in the next month, and now Zhilei Zhang, Fillip Hrgovic and Moses Itauma have all been named as possible targets for one man.

In the next few weeks, there is a WBO showdown as Fabio Wardley makes the first defence of his belt against Daniel Dubois, while 40-plus-year-old veterans Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora both face off in their 50th fight.

Itauma also takes a big step up in his postponed fight with American Jermaine Franklin, who has previously taken both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte the distance.

Speaking to Seconds Out, promoter Al Siesta outlined that all the men could be in line to fight his man Murat Gassiev.

“He’s aiming to make a defence late June, early July, it will probably be an international show. We’re talking to a few fighters; there are some heavyweights that are currently not involved in the so-called big fights, Hrgovic, Zhang, Jarrell Miller, Michael Hunter, the usual suspects.

Obviously, Deontay Wilder is fighting Derek Chisora, Fabio Wardley is fighting Daniel Dubois but Moses Itauma is still very interesting for us. Moses has a serious test against Jermaine Franklin. Jermaine Franklin is a serious competitor. If Moses Itauma, who I’m a huge fan of, looks fantastic, looks devastating and let’s see if he can do this to Jermaine Franklin, Murat Gassiev will embrace that fight.”

Gassiev is a former unified champion who recently moved up and secured the WBA regular heavyweight strap after knocking out Kubrat Pulev back in December.
