Undisputed female world welterweight champion “The First Lady” Cecilia Braekhus (35-0, 9 KOs) made yet another successful defence of her WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California on Saturday via 10 round unanimous decision over Magdziak-Lopes, (18-5-3, 1 KO) of Poland.
Braekhus boxed her way to a clear 100-90,100-90 and 99-91 decision by boxing patiently and slowly breaking down the tiring Polish boxer.
In the other female title fight on the card WBC/IBF/WBA middleweight champ Claressa Shields, 8-0-(2), completely controlled WBO super-middleweight titleholder Femke Hermans, 9-2-(3), Belgium over 10 rounds by scores of 100-90 on all three judges cards.
In the co main feature HBO’s final boxing event former world champion Juan ‘El Gallo’ Estrada, 38-3-(26), from Sonora, Mexico, scored a seventh round retirement win over local rival Victor ‘Spock’ Mendez, 28-4-2-(20). The flyweight saw Estrada take control early on. By the end of the seventh round
