Edwards made an impressive start and built up an early lead, Rosales rallied late but Edwards stood firm to score a clear 118-110, 117-111 and 116-112 on all three judges cards.

Ryan Walsh retained his British featherweight title for the fifth time out-pointing Reece Bellotti over 12 rounds via split decision.

Walsh, who was never troubled, was judged the winner on two cards by scores of 116-112 twice while the third official somehow had Belloti the victor 116-113.

Belloti had his moments during the 12 rounds but the 32 year-old champ used his jab to good effect. Walsh wobbled Belloti in the ninth round but he bravely fought through it and made it to the final bell.
