Dave Allen has revealed who he believes is the harder puncher between former sparring partners Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
Both Joshua and Fury have been on a collision course for almost a decade but are yet to face each other in what many consider to be the biggest fight in the history of British boxing.
‘The Gypsy King’ came out of retirement once again earlier this month when he defeated Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision at the conclusion of their non-title bout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.
Joshua was last in action back in December when he produced a thunderous sixth round knockout over former YouTube sensation Jake Paul during their controversial bout at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
One man who has experience in sharing the ring with the heavyweight duo is Doncaster’s Allen, who has acted as a sparring partner for both men throughout his own professional career.
In footage shared by Matchroom Boxing, ‘The White Rhino’ made no mistake in naming Fury as a harder puncher than Joshua in what may come as a surprise to many.
‘The Gypsy King’ is expected to continue with his professional career following his win over Makhmudov and is likely to return to action once more before he finally faces Joshua later this year.
It has been reported that ‘AJ’ and Fury will lock horns this November with an official announcement expected to be made after Joshua makes a comeback of his own during the summer.
