Derek Chisora always said he would bow out once he got to 50 fights.
That milestone happened last time out when he fought former American world champion Deontay Wilder.
It was a tough 12-round battle that saw ‘The Bronze Bomber’ take the points win and end Chisora’s winning run following victories over Otto Wallin, Gerald Washington and Joe Joyce.
He is now 42 years old and has been involved in many a war, which is why most fans and pundits are keen for him to walk away from the sport.
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Chisora was asked about whether or not he has indeed hung up his gloves.
“Am I saying I am retried? Can I come back out of retirement, yes I can? Yes, I’m going to come out of retirement, when I want to.”
He was then asked why he wanted to fight Wilder a second time.
“Because I feel like both sides were undone by boxing that day, do you understand. First and foremost my trainer jumped in the ring when he was not supposed to jump in the ring. I got pushed out of the ring and they gave me a count. They never told me this in the rules meeting, twice, yeah.
“Then when I knocked him down they didn’t give a count, they called it a push but it wasn’t a push, they gave me a second count, then on top of that I went to the referee and said I can’t see. Whatever he had on his body, went in my eyes. Even for him as well, he wants the rematch.”
Wilder, meanwhile, has admitted he would be open to fighting hot young British talent Moses Itauma.
