Conor Benn Sends Fresh Callout To World Champion: “Keep That Belt Warm”

Conor Benn is looking to step into one of the biggest fights of his career so far later this year.

So far, his time in the ring has been defined by two fights with his generational rival, Chris Eubank Jr. After many years of build-up, fallout, and failed drug tests, they finally came to blows twice in 2025.

Eubank won the first fight by using his size advantage and greater experience to keep Benn at bay and secure a 12-round points win. The rematch went the other way, with Eubank looking out of sorts, likely due to weight issues, and Benn taking a unanimous decision after 12 rounds.

Benn returned to action earlier this year when he took on an ageing Regis Prograis, who was fighting at 150lbs for the first time in his career. The Brit took another points win and soon began talking about wanting to win a world title.

In a new post on X from his gym, Benn shared a latest callout to WBC welterweight ruler Ryan Garcia.

“Morning graft. Attack the days, make the days count. Remember, hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. Remember, keep that belt warm for me. I’m coming for you boy, and what?”

Garcia won the belt off Mario Barrios earlier this year after failing in his first attempt to win it from Rolly Romero in the previous fight. He has declared his interest in offering Benn his maiden world title shot, with the pair potentially set to face off in Las Vegas later this year.
