Chris Eubank Jr Provides Major Career Update

The last two years have been the most dramatic of Chris Eubank Jr.‘s career.

He started 2025 by beating Conor Benn by unanimous decision in a blockbuster grudge match that reignited one of British boxing’s great family rivalries. Despite a fiery start from Benn, it was Eubank’s size and experience that won out over the 12 rounds.

The rematch came just six months later and this time it was Benn who boxed well and took a unanimous decision in November 2025 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with many suspecting that Eubank Jr was weight-drained during the contest.

What followed was an alarming video posted to social media that showed Eubank unconscious in a hospital bed undergoing a medical procedure, with the caption stating he would not box again until he was back to 100%.

He has since recovered well and has announced the birth of his new twin children, though has yet to get back in the gym. In a new post on X, Eubank updated on his current promotional situation ahead of any potential return to action.

“Just so we’re all clear, I am a completely FREE agent.. No ties, No promoter, & No limits.”

This seemingly marks the end of a partnership with Ben Shalom’s BOXXER, which stretched through fights with Liam Williams, Liam Smith and both Benn encounters.

This post does suggest, however, that he is still looking to make a ring return at some point. Now 36, time is surely running out on his career. Though he has spoken before of his desire to have a third and final fight with Benn, his old rival seems to have moved on and is instead pursuing his own maiden world title fight with Ryan Garcia later in the year.

Instead, Eubank has been linked with a trip to Australia this year to face Michael Zerafa.
