Carl Froch has taken to social media to once again speak about a fighting return.
Froch has recently engaged in heated back-and-forths that have threatened to end his retirement, including with former MMA star turned bare-knuckle boxer Darren Till.
The former super-middleweight world champion has even gone so far as to agree to fight Tyson Fury’s father John, after words back and forth in the media that concluded with an offer from ‘Big John’ for a fight on the undercard of a show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this year.
Speaking to Froch on Fighting, ‘The Cobra’ addressed his rivalry with John Fury once more.
“I’m just about to give that bag an absolute pasting and Big John Fury, the fighting man, has been piping up, saying he wants two and a half million quid. Can you make this make sense?
“One minute he wants to give the money to charity. He doesn’t want the money, he’s a humble man, he doesn’t need money the life, he lives a simple life. Give it to charity, he said. But now he wants 2.5 million quid. He’s priced himself out. The big gobsh**e.
“The reason I’m talking about it is I don’t want him popping up on my timeline talking b**locks, bringing my name up. He called it on, I’ve said yeah, go on then let’s fight, wasted a load of f time negotiation. DAZN offered him the money, and he’s bottled it and he goes round calling everybody else a sh**house. He’s going to fight f**king no one.”
Former super-middleweight king Froch retired back in 2014 after he knocked out George Groves at Wembley Stadium to retain his WBA and IBF world titles.
Despite John Fury’s comments after his son Tommy’s win over Eddie Hall at the latest Misfits event, few would bet that the fight ever materialises.
